Although marketing wasn’t my major, I still obtained knowledge and skills from the many facets of the discipline. This page includes coursework that aided me in understanding the dynamics of consumer behavior, advertising strategy, multinational marketing, and negotiating.
Skill: Analyzing Consumer Behavior & Mindful Consumption
The goal of this work sample was to analyze the characteristics of consumer behavior as well as mindful consumption. This knowledge gave me insight on how companies reach and build relationships with their target consumers.
Skill: Implementing International Marketing Plan
This sample was the final project for my multinational marketing class. It gave me the opportunity to create a hypothetical marketing plan for a domestic footwear firm seeking to gain entry into foreign markets. It includes careful evaluation of all the possible foreign markets as well as a competitive analysis, SWOT analysis, and advertising plan.
Skill: Developing Advertising Plan
In this piece, I was able to experience working with a group of peers to formulate an advertising plan to increase brand awareness for the NorVA. My chief responsibilities were to create a situational analysis, advertising objectives, and testing methods to evaluate the success of our campaign.
Skill: Creating a Negotiation Strategy
This assignment involved pairing up with a classmate to create a negotiation strategy against our rival party. I learned that utilizing the Cialdini techniques and careful planning is a necessary requirement for any successful negotiation.
